Get up close and personal with a polar bear in Scandinavian Wildlife Park as the zookeeper takes you behind the scenes. It’s a very special experience.
Very few people ever get up close and personal with a brown bear, but you could be one of the lucky ones. Book a behind-the-scenes tour and meet a big male bear in the stable – a place where only the keepers go.

You can send a request for up to 3 different dates in order of priority. You can also just fill in your 1st priority.
The luckiest bears in Europe live in Scandinavian Wildlife Park’s Bear Park… they have a huge 25,000 m2 enclosure with a huge lake, waterfalls, huge logs, caves and plenty of space. Among other things, 3 enormous male brown bears live here with a fighting weight of over 300 kg. – each!
Meet one of the big male bears in the stable – a place where only the keepers go. Get up close… hear him, smell him and feel the hairs on the back of your neck rise as you stand just 1 meter from the giant predator – separated only by solid iron bars.
Our zookeeper takes you into another world… You get a first-hand experience as the male bear is fed and trained with clickers. We train the bears to stand on their hind legs, sit, etc. We don’t do this for entertainment, but solely to be able to check them for health reasons. This way we can do the most common health checks without having to anesthetize them. All our bears know several commands, respond to their name and love to be trained.
It is also possible to go behind the scenes in the polar bear stable.
