What is Scandinavian Wildlife Park

Scandinavian Wildlife Park

Scandinavian Wildlife Park is a themed animal park and attraction in the heart of Djursland with overwhelmingly large enclosures for polar bears, brown bears and wolves and plenty of space for both animals and people.

Scandinavian Wildlife Park is an attraction, zoo and animal park located in the heart of Djursland between three of East Jutland’s largest cities; Randers, Aarhus and Grenaa.

The park’s polar bear facility is recognized as the best in the world and we have had polar bear cubs in the park several times. Siku the male polar bear – born in 2011 – has dedicated fans all over the world.

As a guest, you get a unique opportunity to experience natural behavior and get close to the animals from long walkways that meander through the beautiful Danish nature. At the same time, our guides will tell you stories about the animals’ biology and habitat requirements in an educational and entertaining way.

With its relaxing atmosphere, Scandinavian Wildlife Park is a haven for busy families with children and is ideal for a quiet but exciting experience with the grandchildren. The park is also perfect for a cosy picnic.

Our animals are ambassadors for their wild counterparts, which they can only be if they live in proper conditions. When you visit us, you are supporting our work to raise awareness of the threats to our Scandinavian animal species.

Scandinavian Wildlife Park has existed since 1994 and was founded by animal enthusiast Frank Vigh-Larsen.
