Stay in the center of Scandinavian Wildlife Park in a lavvu, the Sami’s answer to a teepee.
The Sami are a traditional Scandinavian people. They are reindeer nomads, and when they are tired after a long day of driving their reindeer to new pastures, they pitch a large tipi-like tent. This tent is called a lavvu, and you’ll also find one in Scandinavian Wildlife Park. The campsite with the large tent is centrally located in the park – close to the playground, The “Barn” and the eagle aviary.
Perfect for the large group
There is room for about 30 people sleeping in our lavvu. If you are more people, you can pitch your own tents close to the campsite.
The tent is 8 meters high and has a floor area of 85 m2. The tent has a linoleum floor so you won’t be lying directly on the cold and damp ground. The tent has both electricity and lighting, and there are 4 table/bench sets.
