When darkness falls in Scandinavian Wildlife Park, there is a very special atmosphere. Far from the lights and noise of the city, you can feel the calm descending and experience nature in a completely different way. The sounds change and you suddenly notice the leaves rustling, birds chattering in the scrub, and here in the park you may even be lucky enough to hear wolf howls and bear roars.

The cabin is simply and practically furnished with room for up to 6 people. Through a large panoramic window you can follow the polar bears in the facility, both from the living room and from the loft. The Sami are a traditional Scandinavian people. They are reindeer nomads, and when they are tired after a long day of driving their reindeer to new grasslands, they pitch a large tipi-like tent. This tent is called a lavvu, and you’ll also find one in Scandinavian Wildlife Park. Right in the middle of the park you’ll find the campsite with three cozy shelters. Around the campfire, you can enjoy snow bread, popcorn and roasted marshmallows until darkness falls. Whether you choose to bring your own food or order from Caf\u00e9 Bj\u00e6lkehuset, you are responsible for the final preparation. The food can either be prepared in the small barbecue hut by the playground, over a campfire or in the outdoor kitchen. At the polar bear cabin, there is both a small kitchen and a gas grill by the cabin. <\/p>

We encourage our guests sleeping in shelters to cook over a campfire, as this allows you to stay at the campsite and close to the outdoor kitchen.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

We do not have any camping equipment in the park that you can rent or borrow. You must therefore bring your own sleeping bag, sleeping mat\/air mattress, pillow etc. for Lavvu and Shelter.
In the polar bear cabin there are mattresses, duvets and pillows, so you only need to bring sheets, duvet and pillowcases <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Sami tent and shelter are centrally located in the park and the polar bear cabin is in the far corner, so it’s a short walk from the parking lot with your gear. That’s why we offer you the free use of trolleys to transport your luggage. All trolleys must be returned to the Entrance when leaving the park. <\/p>

It is not possible to drive your luggage to the campsite by car.<\/p>

At the polar bear lodge, camping equipment is not needed, so we recommend that you pack your gear in backpacks. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Several groups can be in the park at the same time. But there can be a maximum of one group per shelter, in the polar bear cabin and in the Sami tent\/Lavvu. Therefore, you do not have to share sleeping facilities.<\/p>

If multiple overnight stays are booked, the groups will share the guide. You can see when the guide will be with you on the schedule for either your accommodation.<\/p>

When you book an overnight stay in Scandinavian Wildlife Park, you are of course allowed to spend the entire arrival and departure day in the park.<\/p>

You can arrive when the park opens at 10:00 on the day of arrival and stay until the park closes the following day.

You will, in most cases, have access to the campsite from the moment you arrive on the first day.<\/p>

The following day, the campsites must be vacated and unpacked by 9:00 am for the shelter campsite and by 9:30 am for the Sami tent, as they must be cleaned and prepared for the next groups before the park opens at 10:00 am.

Especially for the Polar Bear Cabin:
